Past Events
The Bluesy Opera will be held outside the Museum, we will have a stage and chairs out front of the Museum. The facade of the Museum will act as our setting, Birney Imes has given us permission to use his Juke Joint photographs. The show will be a collaboration between the MSU Opera Department, Blues legend Terry Harmonica Bean, and an MSU faculty trio playing guitar, bass, and drums. The Museum will be open and refreshments will be served. The Birney Imes exhibit will still be on display and you can find the perfect gift in our Gift Shop. Anyone and all ages are welcome to this event, where we celebrate this cultural intersection Blues and Opera.
